In a few weeks I’ll be working from an office again, something I haven’t done in almost two years. In that time I’ve mostly focused on the “fun” pieces, and now I find myself scrambling for those staples I never felt I had a reason to buy.
So today’s post is all about work day basics. Pieces you can mix in with your existing wardrobe and accessories, while still being office appropriate!
Black Blazer. Dress up jeans, de-priss a girly dress–a simple, slightly oversized blazer is so versatile.
Laptop Bag. I’ve never had to carry a computer before to work, so I was pretty concerned when I saw the limited bag offerings! I love the faux ostrich on this one (and the price)!
Sheer Pink Lipstick. Bright lips won’t be inappropriate in my office setting, but sometimes I just want the “doneness” of lipstick without full-on color. Roman Holiday is surprisingly sheer, not Barbie Pink!
Low Booties. Infinitely wearable boots. I can think of so many outfits for these booties–on and off the clock–so I have these at the top of my list! Edited August 28: I bought these over the weekend and they are gorgeous. Very comfortable, very well-made.
Tinted Moisturizer. Not much of a work basic, I just love this stuff!
Black Sweater Dress. Goes with everything: scarves, statement necklaces, chunky bracelets, fun shoes. Such an essential in the fall.
Simple Black Pant. I’ve hated black dress pants since forever. Forever until I found these at J.Crew.
Leopard Flat. Leopard is a total neutral!
