Compared to the spring when I was juggling three different jobs, this fall has seemed relatively laid back with just two. And yet! I worked from 11 am – 1:30 am the other day. Never turned on the tv, just listened to ballets on Spotify and sourced, sourced, sourced. Then linked all over the place. I didn’t even start my own blog posts till 2.

This is not a complaint at all since I LOVE what I am doing now. I still get to design things for Lonny, but then I have this other little life where I shop and play with objects and have opinions about things that exist in the third dimension! Totally wild.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what my ultimate goal is with all of this. I know in the next year I’d like to be styling shoots in some capacity. But who knows. The one thing I’ve learned is the more opportunities you open yourself up to, the bigger the goals. Last year I thought I wanted to style weddings. Then I took a leap, moved to New York, and interned at an interiors magazine. Took another one and now I’m helping decorate a huge blogger’s apartment. I mean, what?

Next year: decorating Ryan Gosling’s bachelor pad or bust.

Haha that’s an awesome goal–Ryan Gosling’s bachelor pad would look awesome on the resume 😉

Good for you for diving into all of this and loving it! I hope to find something like that that I love just as much.

I think it’s just the fact I get to be creative and have some autonomy. I could be happy doing any number of other tasks as long as those two qualities stayed true!
